Seems the whole 690 series is China but they have a out in this article. If mostly water then I could see final packaging on shore.

Where products are made will change after this. Then in ten years time profit will cause them all to move again. How quickly we forget.

I agree Mike. Kind of a vicious circle. As jobs pay less we look for cheaper products and cheaper products come from afar. We could make cheaper here with robots but that still means on average less wages.

We certainly made a mess with this.

The problem with China is that labor is basically slave labor and business cannot compete with that.

There is that funny where all the work in the world has be outsourced to one guy because he charges 10 cents an hour.


They are actually moving stuff out of China as their standard of living is driving cost so they are off shoring to other countries like Vietnam.


The stock market is a key driver in all of this. Stock prices don't go up unless profit goes up.


The cycle continues.
