Ahhh heavy duty decisions....A honey and Banana or a peanut butter (Crunchy) and banana sandwich?
Anyone know if Brink has a tutorial on Zoom yet?
Looks like I'll have to download it to keep up with the kids.
Actually, they need to test everyone as far as I'm concerned! Both for COVID and for antibodies!
In the lower 52, testing is lagging way far behind other countries; test kits have been promised, but so far, few have materialized!
Here in Arkansas, we had to resort to bidding wars to get the first test kits and PE, and still don't have nearly enough of either. Some testing has started, which I'm pretty sure accounts for the recent rise in cases. We still have less than 200 deaths, but that's 200 too many in my book.
Our gubment sends out $1200 per person in the US whether their income has declined or not, but fails to adequately support diagnoses and cure to the extent it's needed.
Yes, my $1200 is useful, but my income stays the same, since I'm on Social Security. Then you have those folks who have jobs; thus, their income hasn't declined. Then you have my S-I-L whose income went from pretty good to $0.00 on March 16 and who is just now qualifying for unemployment. Filing income tax was pushed back to June, and he was told that because he hadn't filed, he didn't qualify! Never mind that all accounting offices were closed tighter'n a drum! He finally found an accountant who was willing to file his taxes; he's due a refund, but do you think it's arrived? Nope! Not at all!
Tell me if you see any sense or fairness at all in what's happening to the general public. I don't.
Agree Wynona. Fairness is not a government thing. Saw there was some sort of program down there for small buiness and some of the largest chains in America got first dibs because they were the banks best customers.
Up here there is a wage subsidy program for small businesses and non-profits could apply. I'm okay with that, they usually are doing good work for the people in need. Well that sounds fair but what they also did was allow for political parties to apply and be accepted. Political parties are not businesses yet they were at the trough loading up.
I went shopping / errands. More time in line than doing. I had to line up for cart at the bottle return place and then line up again for the actual returns. Lined up at the Depot, again at Staples and again at the grocery store. Good thing I brought my umbrella, it was raining.
This is going to be nuts in the dead of winter up here.
