    Hey guys!
This might seem strange, but I've always wanted to be able to understand how to use all three OS's, Windows, Linux, and Mac. I already know Windows and Mac, but I'd like to give Linux a go. So as you my suspect, I have a few questions. Is it better than Windows, if so, how? Does it run most PC games and programs. Does it take a lot of time to get to know it? That's it, thanks ahead or time! :)

Personally I would recommend Linux Mint. It is pretty user friendly IMHO and a good starting point for those wishing to try out Linux for the first time. As far as running games, I don't have a clue as I am not a gamer.

Thank you for replying! I'd like to set up triple boot and have Windows, Hackintosh, and Linux. So I will have Windows for the games. I've heard that you have a lot more control in Linux and when I transitioned from Mac to Windows I really felt like I was more in control so the idea be in even more control would be GREAT! Here's one of the videos I found. It's more of a comparison video, but I think he did a really good job. I wasn't sure which version of Linux to get, but I'll probably go with Mint. Thanks again!

I muck about with Linux occasionally. None of my work software runs on it so I don't bother full time. It different cos you can literally do anything with. This is a good thing. However you need some serious skills to do so. And that's bad. Its come a long way since I first tried it in 2009...

I never bother with Mac. Seems a waste of time and money to me.

Well, I really want to learn new skills with Windows and why not learn about Linux as well? There has always been a Mac in my house, so it's like a second nature for me, though I do like Windows much more than Mac, but I'm not biased towards either one. At least I try not to be.

Tried Knoppix years ago but I couldn't get a modem driver for it so I dumped it.

I've tried out Mint and Netrunner. Both are good but I just stick with Windows. For me I can navigate it and it's something that I'm used to.

Linux is good but I don't think it's for the "average" user.

Well, I figure sense Linux is free it could be fun to just play around with it and not use it as my dominant OS. That's why I would want duel boot, so I can always have Windows.

P.S: Turns out one can not just install Hackintosh onto any old PC, I would need specific hardware and even then it wouldn't run the way I would like! Mac is such a pain!

My work laptop has Red Hat enterprise on it. I don't really like it.

Better than to schmuck around with triple boot, make a USB memory boot with persistent option and play with it, much safer way. Like that, it's much less likely to do something wrong to rest of the system and specially BOOT part. Other, safe way, is to do it from a VM. If possible you can also ad another HDD just for that, could be an old cheap one and dose not have to be large.
PS just noticed your logo, here's my last Mustang I had back in '90s.
