windows 10, good or bad, and tablets anyone?
So I just started using a surface, the display is nice and the touch screen works really well on this site, actually faster than traditional. Some cases touch screen can be slower though. On top of those I opened myself up to some os X and kali Linux. Windows 7 will be missed but so far windows 10 is alright, I don't care for the "get to know me" deal though. Feels invasive, even though I have all of that turned off. Any thoughts on tablets, other OS, or windows 10?

10 is ok if you are familiar with 8.
Going from 7 to 10 might be a shock.
Might consider buying an Atom powered Surface (no fan - totally silent) as a second system.
Will not give up 7.
Will not give up 8.
If I ever get 10, it will be on an Atom Surface.

. . .boy oh boy, why do you even post on a forum that deals with an OS you don't even care for. . .makes no sense. Guess you just can't help yourself. . .

I just wanted to log onto the broccoli forum to say that I hate broccoli.

Broccoli cooked properly with melted cheese -
a little salt - and a sprinkle of hot red peppers is awesome !

Just an attempt at humor. I actually like broccoli, raw, cooked, shredded into broccoli slaw, etc.

I gifted my Surface Pro 3 to my brother who still uses XP on a 12 year old PC. (an EMachine)
Surface tablets can do VMs but are best suited to the OS it was designed for.
The current motherboard listed in specs can handle every OS I throw at it.
So, will continue with this desktop for now.
When MS starts selling an Atom Surface 4, I think it might be a nice computer.
It's a drag that they need the $200 DOCK (unless on sale) to use Ethernet.
