Sold my Runner and picked up a Grand Vitara 4x4. Good little rig and I like the 28 to the gal.

And the project that's about to be stripped down to the frame and built back up.

Have just purchased a new Volvo S60 SE Lux Nav ....had last one since 2006....having found them to be both reliable and extremely comfortable.

The picture posted whilst not my own vehicle is an exact replica in both looks wheels and colour.

Wear and tear, age degeneration, plus lack of mobility though not so important if you have friends that run you everywhere.

Or an over 60s Scottish bus pass that gives free bus travel in whole of Scotland. Rest of UK does not have this great perk.

PS - above mode of travel is more heart friendly.

Known Scottish trait....short arms and deep pockets.

Have a bus pass (am in my eighties) but far too inconvenient......example visit to Doctor, distance 2 miles, needing 2 buses....what with bus connections plus arriving early for appointment then return trip....time taken 3 hours minimum.

Time taken using car.....5 minutes and park outside surgery....total time taken.....back at home in half an hour....dry and warm.
