Thanks Borg and Bob. Surgeon is not 100% sure on the fusion and says won't really know until he gets in there. MRI shows a gnarled mess. Iffy she will come home same day.

Yeah, for some reason they watch me whenever I go to that place. Probably since I had to get an MRI & I picked up a paper clip & got right at the red line to see if it would point towards the machine.

Hope all goes well for your daughter, wish her the best for me. My Wife had to have that operation about 1 1/2 yrs ago, they didn't have to fuse anything & she came through without probs. They let her go home 4 hrs after the surgery, I thought that was crazy, but that's how it works nowadays.

Yep you tend to recover faster at home and not exposed to any more stuff you are not accustomed to

Thanks, it's a yearly check to see if any new masses are growing. Since I've had cancer, there's a chance it can return, so they keep an eye on me.

Good thought & prayers to your daughter all goes well. Hopefully they don't have to do a fusion.

I was in shock when my Wife was in recovery & they walked in & said around 3 hrs after she got out of surgery "OK, she can go home in about an hour." I was like "Are you sure she's the right patient?" They're like "Oh yeah, this is normal for most people."
