Mine's virtually the same only lighter shade of blue.

Why take time to setup a fancy desktop when I spend ZERO percent of my time at the desktop?

Tried to post a pic of mine.

Cannot upload a pic, no matter which option I use.

Sizing is correct, and is in an accepted format.

Tried a couple of weeks ago, nothing doing.

Just tried again, three times. Again, nothing works.

    Given up.

    What's the file size? I think there's a 2Mb limit...

Here's mine, thanks to BigSeb. Yes, it is indeed a 2mb limit. But the uploader says 4mb
    hence the problem. My bad.

    Windows 8.1 Pro w/WMC 64-bit.

Note no 3rd-party Start menu, but that the Quick Launch toolbar is enabled. Note also the taskbar is not cluttered with program icons. IMO the taskbar is for opened programs, not a repository for unopened ones.

    The pic
of the sailing ship 'Southern Swan' was taken by me on Sydney Harbour in 2011, from the famous Manly ferry.

    Hope you like...

Recycle Bin right in the middle above the taskbar? Unusual place to put it... why not move it to the side or hide it? Just curious...

Nothing more than sheer force of habit.

Back before Start Screens, or, indeed decent Start menus, I used to group all my program icons on the desktop. Things like the Recycle Bin ended up bottom-center and there it seems to have remained.

Here's an old screenshot of my Windows XP setup from around 2005-2006 to show what I mean. The wallpaper pic is, again, one of mine.
