Exactly, Andre. Apples and Oranges. A rep medal is given from every 650 rep points, got my third one (= 1,950 rep points) a few weeks ago.

Stars in Guru badge are another matter. Screenshot from first page of this thread:

I don't know Kari, but I feel one recognition system to be enough(pips & medals) a second, parallel one is just too "much".

I feel the same way, but that's the way our rep system and badges work.

You have now at the moment 1,715 rep points, which entitles you for two medals, and a two star Guru badge. Quite soon, you will get the third medal at 1,950 rep points, and then 50 rep points later at 2,000 points, a three star Guru badge.

They are two different things, awarded in different ways.
