    Evening all,

A full and somewhat fun day , got everything done.
Manage to scare the heck out of our future Docs and Nurses or at least one of them.
My Doc had this 18 year old do a ROM (range of motion) test on my leg.
She gripped over the kneecap with one hand the other moved the ankle.
She let of an Ohh am I doing this wrong? She felt my Knee cap float and move'
and it scared her. (Floating Knee cap very old problem).
    I almost burst out laughing.

Reading Back...glad to see you got your problem worked out Wynona.
Fast Start Is a pain. More trouble then its worth and so is the hybrid hibernation .
I have not successfully gotten them to work on any of my computers.

May want to consider adding the Macrium Boot Menu option, also. Does not cost any more space, just an entry. It's a quick alternative to fumbling with the Thumb drive, especially if the machine is quirky booting from media. It does exactly the same thing.
Ummm, yeah, it's on my old computer, but I'm not sure how to put it there.

    Absotively and posolutely, UNbelievable! Keith!

I would never thunk in a couple million years that Fast Startup would be the cause of all this pain! But now that I think on it . . .

At any rate, I saw your post, thought about it and decided TC's solution was more likely to produce results. In the back of my mind, I reserved turning off Fast Startup as a last ditch effort before I tore this computer apart!

Well, if you've been following my posts, you'll know I got to the point of that "last ditch effort" and it worked!

I now see the dual boot screen every time I boot the computer, no matter if I've been working within Production or Fast/Skip.

Thank you and TC both. Although this is the first time Fast Startup did me in, I'm done with it!

I need to relearn that sometimes the simple solutions work! That's not to say TC's help isn't appreciated. I now know a lot more than I did this morning!
. My old lappy, if I enable Fast boot has a habit of shutting down during boot and the only way to get it to boot again is to take out the battery.

Some Good Questions to ask yourself is "Do I really need a 10 second startup?" "Whatever for?"
"Why am I in such a hurry?" "Am I really so lazy I can't save my work before I shut down?"
" What happens to my work if the hybrid hibernation fails?"

Good Morning everybody and Thomas. If hybrid hibernation fails you loose your work that is open If the battery cannot be taken out you will have to wait until the battery is dead before you can use you box again.

Morning Thomas. Even without fast startup my old lappy boots in 30 seconds and that is off a spinner.

Morning Beeman & kitties. Just thinking that myself. I would have to take my current lappy apart to remove the battery.
