Windows are fog up on the outside today.

I got a phone call from my fellow Sr. Center teacher (genealogy) yesterday, asking why her friend couldn't get things done on her laptop. After a few minutes of description, I discovered she had a Chromebook! OMGoodnessssss!

So, this morning I get an email from ZDNet, which gave me a slight giggle . . .

I think people see the price on a Chromebook and say "That is a good number" without ever asking how is it different?

They are really pushing them up here based on long battery life for the back to school sales.

Same here. They are advertised on the TV as being a Windows replacement, which they are not really.

I wonder if they could be charged with false advertising? I think the lady with the chromebook was deceived by a salesman who said it was superior to Window. NOT!

BTW, Bill Nye seems to have lost a few marbles if he thinks a chromebook is better than a Windows computer!

I think some of the Chromebooks can run Mint which will make them better than Windows.LOL
