    It was the getting up early for the 55 mile drive to work that got me.

    Wow you had a long drive Keith, mine was only 30 mile drive, but in the winter months, that 30 mile drive could take hours, because of driving conditions ....

    I can remember driving home from work in a real bad snow storm, my 30 mile drive which should only take 45 mins, took me 2 and a half hours to get home, then once I made it to my driveway, I had a 2 to 3 foot snowbank to drive thru.... I don't miss those days at all.

    Most of the journey was on motorways (70 mph limit) so took just over an hour normally. My worst was the return journey in a sudden snow storm which took about 6 hours.
