Yep got too close for the computers I think it was the magnetic pulse that did a lot of stuff in and you cannot do any thing about that.
Like a mini version of an air burst nuke. EMI fries everything.

    Morning / Afternoon everyone.

Perfect day here, going to walk into valley for the farmers market.

Sorry to hear about that strike beeman, must have made a hell of a boom. Has me rethinking surge protection for house and will have to look into protection for network.
    Good morning Ken

Yep, I was on the front porch once during a T Storm & I was on the cordless phone. I leaned out to look at the sky & suddenly it looked like a really thin strand of lightning appeared about 6 feet away, like it was making it's way down towards me but stopped short. The phone crackled & I lost the connection. The air suddenly smelled ionized.

Really freakin' weird experience...I may have almost got struck by lightning.

A well placed EMP bomb will do a lot more damage in the long run then conventional bombs will. There was news about those some time back, but the chatter about them died down.

    Afternoon Keith

Good walk and the hill back out of the valley always makes you sweat, summer or winter.

    Good afternoon all

Spent all morning shopping in a down pour. Few light shows but nothing bad. I was not about to let the weather stop me from being able to enjoy the afternoon-evening of my Saturday lol.
