Just a deep thought...
Is Computing today the same as CB-Radio in the 1980's?
Example -
2019 - "How fast can my PC go?"
1980 - "How far can I reach by tweaking the electronics?"
What's your opinion?
Maybe it is a little, as a young teen I had a pretty good income from re-soldering soldering peoples Mic's/PL plugs, replacing power output transistors and tweaking the outputs, adding switches the Phase lock loops for extra channels etc.
That experience is probably why my first PC I build myself after looking at a parts list from the new PC shop that sprung up (Jetway mobo and a Cyrix 486 cpu I think).
