Too far. I had a family of raccoons living in my backyard in Toronto, used to come to my back porch and steel food from my cat.

Mike beat me to it answering your question RingTail, he was correct that is what I meant but I hadn't checked where you live and thought perhaps you lived somewhere in the country where they lived wild.

Wellllllll actually it seems that in Germany there are LOTS of raccoons and that they are actually crossing the borders between Germany and the Netherlands. (Some are even spotted over the border and we Dutch ain't happy! Even wolves are sighted from Germany-side) OK, back to topic!
