Joan hi , Thank you, Yes I like it , it is a tad heavy, the camera is wonderful . I've not learned what size I need to choose
when taking photos, they seem sooooo large to me . Maybe someone here can tell me about the correct size
to choose on the camera setting , to cut down on the photo size.

Joan,... I noticed you're running WINDOWS 10 on your machine, Did you go for the FREE upgrade , or is it a whole new machine you're using ?

I went with the free upgrade, this Notebook came with Windows 8. I'd only had it a couple of years so couldn't afford a new one just yet, it was running the latest 8 I'd upgraded it to 8.1.1 so thought it would last me a few more years, I'd put an extra 4GB RAM stick into it.

I didn't have any problems Georgia, I just let it do it's thing and when it was all downloaded and installed everything had been transferred over to the new OS. My hubby is not techy, he wasn't going to bother with the upgrade on his Windows 7 machines but his laptop was already doing it a couple of weeks ago. Originally he'd ticked the box to get it but then decided he wouldn't bother, so when his desktop wanted to do as well he let it.

He gets on with it fine and hasn't needed my help to use it so far, it's very easy to find your way around and do what you want.

There is nothing to stop you carrying on using 8 if you really like it, it depends how old your machine is and how long it would have been before you wanted to get another. I'd expect all new machines to come with 10 so you could just carry on as you are and start using 10 when you get your next computer. :)

Joan thanks so much for your help, I purchased this Windows 8 Laptop March 2013, then it updated to 8.1 as it is now.
I keep it clean , and updated, when those arrive,..I do use a few different programs I love , It's Wi-Fi, I never use the battery in it.
Do you recall how long the downloading and installing took ? Just an estimate is fine , I really want to do this.
Thanks so much for your help.
