Well Macrium says my issue on that Win 7 laptop has nothing to do with new release. They suggest I open support ticket. To late laptop returned.

I proposed your solution Keith, that is using a PE5, PE10 or RE with USB 3.0 support and Nick was in support of that idea. Nice call. Now I have to get laptop and try again. This person lives in the hills with minimal Internet service, may just drive to top of hill near her and connect to my phone for download.

Morning Ken. With a bit of luck that may work. I don't think the Win 7 RE has native USB3 support.

Afternoon Keith. I hoping for more than luck. This is a really silly situation. Buying a laptop with only USB 3.0 would normally be looked at as being a positive. Not being able to Macrium on Windows 7 is a definite negative.

Another good idea Keith but as I don't have laptop I wouldn't be able to really respond which will frustrate all. I will do a search there, could be this is an old problem.

I do believe this is a Macrium issue. While USB3.0 only devices are not common place they should have some sort of workaround. I notice that Macrium when building Rescue media is installing Intel's USB 3.0 drivers but they don't work in the environment.
