    Morning and afternoon all.

Sun with overcast, being spared the rain south of border.

Still fighting with Macrium and USB drivers. A real embarrassment that they haven't provided permanent patch. Just installed new on client machine, all USB 3.0 dead on rescue boot so can't access external drive.

I was going to update machine to 10, that exercise is now cancelled unless the registry fix they provided me works.

Then out to the deck. Lucky today we will be working under deck. Hot but no direct sunshine.

    Back later
If you do not try the fix you will never know if it worked or not?

Thanks Keith. This is a Windows 7 machine. Similar issue on my desktop but the 2.0 ports work.

No Thomas, these are 3.0 ports so not sure where I would get USB 2 drivers for Intel's extensible ports.

Thanks TC. Heading there later. Lost a day so returning machine.

Josey I tried the fix. Tried deleting everything they told me to delete. They went radio silence on me again. I now have four dvd coasters.

I asked them how such a bobo got through testing? That may have helped them tune me out.

If you are using PE3 I don't think it supports USB3 properly. Try using PE5 or PE10.

Thanks Keith. I returned machine. Lost a day with the untested nonsense.

I created new boot media for my Win 7 machine. I will try it.

TC I downloaded the file from hippo. Looks like it is just the stub, just over 5.0 MB for .4228.

Not sure what it will actually install. My copy of the same file reflectdlhf.exe is from nov 2016 and it downloaded current 7.2.4325

So I tested, the stub downloads the most current version. Wonder what filehippo thinks it is posting.
