Found another thread on Macrium forum so not just me. I also developed workaround.

Went to drivers\USB folder. Took the new USB folders and moved them to new temp folder. With just the old USB folders created months ago boot with mouse works. I assume keyboard works.

Did this on USB thumbdrive and c:\boot folder.

    Testing, testing, testing.

    Night Keith.

Thanks Mike. Yes I added comments to a couple of threads on their forum, such a simple work around. They suggested registry key change, I don't change registry without a way to recovery.

There is Ken, back the registry up before fooling with it. I always do,

    Evening AD.

Evening Josey. With my luck I wouldn't be able to boot to get to restore.

I've just fallen into the Macrium only camp. Should probably build a new Win 7 boot disk.

Learned a new lesson. Need two MR boot devices on a rotation schedule. Writing over working media could have left me screwed.
