What you said yesterday was correct, apparently English Ivy has a tough waxy film on the leaves that makes it hard for stuff to penetrate. The general advice I found, reapply plant killer until you see results.

Maybe I should try that on the English Ivy I'm trying to kill. Usually Ortho Ground Kill wipes everything out, but I've sprayed it twice & it barely made a dent.

I have the Ground Kill too, but for Poison Ivy I always use the stuff that's made to kill it....Ground Clear won't.
