Thanks for info on bees in trucks beeman. Hope they were able to save a lot.

    Afternoon Wynona

Afternoon Thomas. All set for the night shift at TenForums

    Evening Andre.

Well I spent six hours in the sun replacing the 2*8 I took off the deck last Saturday. Approximately 40 feet. More work than I thought but its done, on to the next tasks.

Thanks Andre on the Insider notice. Fired up old laptop. At some point these updates are going to croak.

40 foot 2x8 would be about 80 or more pounds.

Yes my wife helps me. These were heavy wet pressure treated joists. I couldn't believe how heavy each 10 footer was. We cut them down and they were still heavy. We braced from below, deck is a storey up, then clamped and went to town with the galvanized nails.

When Lowes delivered the wood for my deck, I only spent 5 minutes trying to move them around before I called the local handyman (and his helpers). Only took them 2 days.
5 guys , worth the 700 bucks I paid them

Well we are going to resurface our deck and it is big and the elevation can make it interesting.

Still considering composite and that stuff makes wet wood seem like feathers.

Dinner time here. Won't be a late night.
