I believe once I got the update without doing anything, and that was because I had been off TF for a day or so after being sick (physically ). There is a long delay/rollout period, or slow if your prefer, and you are most likely to see it posted here and go after it long before it would find it's way to you automagically.

My Tab A just ushered in the updated but, not sure if I'll like it!

I have 9.0 on my Moto, Edwin, and love it. Give it a bit of time and by the way, notifications are now a bit different when you go to them you will see the name of the sound/etc. Long press it for a couple seconds to get more options to pick your own sound.
