Just redid my Portable Weather Clock from scratch. Weird glitches were happing with the time? Will have to wait and see if its back to normal. Took a couple of hours, really a lot less than that as I run an installer then go do other stuff and check it now and then. I have really good crib notes to make it easy to do all the software installs without having to go look it up on github.
I actually add them as notes to the end on my python files.
Swapped out the Pi Zero for a Zero W to make getting Internet access easier. I went with the Zero as it draws the least current of any Pi. No undervolt warnings even with the WIFI turned on so The Zero W is staying. I turn the WIFI off once its all setup and working.

Going to redo the indoor version today some time. No light or UV sensor on that one so it should be a little quicker to get done. It's been locking up every now and then. The display freezes anyway, not sure if the OS is also locked up. Could just be an io error or something. Going to give it a god look over while I'm at it. May be a lose connection somewhere?

Indoor weather clock is all done. Will have to wait and see if it glitches over time. This one runs 24/7.

I have two Raspberry Pi A+'s. First one setup just fine with the latest PiOS flashed with the Raspberry Pi Imager v1.4
Second Pi A+ locks up when setting the Local etc during the quick setup wizard. Activity LED is lit up and I can't move the cursor on screen. I left it like this for over 15 minutes.
Swapped Power supplies and SD cards. Same SD card that was in this Pi setup just fine in the other A+ after reimaging it.
If I quit the quick setup wizard and open Raspberry Pi Configuration, setting the local works just fine. Trying to set the timezone to Canada Atlantic gets me another lockup with no cursor? Activity LED is lit up, no flickering.
Raspberry Pi Model A+ V1.1, Raspberry Pi 2014. One A+ is a 256 meg version and one is a 512 meg version? I have no idea which one is which? Near as I can tell they both have the same info silk screened on them?

2019-04-08-raspbian-stretch worked just fine though? So far anyway, its past the setting local and at the downloading updates as I type this.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, locked up while installing updates. Something on it must have failed over the years.

The new Pi400 works great. I even overclocked it to 2Ghz (default is 1.8Ghz). I've read of it working reliably at 2.2Ghz but I'm good with 2.

There's no fan in it but there's a large heat shield/heat sink that is as large as the keyboard which provides ample heat dissipation.

My snowflakes arrived, looks like I have one dud though. Had me really scratching my head at first. Hooked them all up and powered them up and they all lit up. They cycled through the different patterns, but they did it all on their own, ignoring any button presses to change patterns, and wouldn't turn off. At first I thought it was the button controller thingy.
Started over with just one snowflake connected and it worked as advertised. Then just added one more and did another test. The last one, which was originally the first one in the chain just refused to accept any input from the one before it. It just lights up and cycles slowly through the patterns. All the rest follow the button press signals. Swapping cables makes no difference. I e-mailed Pimoroni with a link to the video. I'll just have to make do with 4 instead of 5 for now.
