I currently have a 3B+ hooked up to my 7 inch touch screen. It's been back and forth a bit between my 4B and a Pi 3B+. Eventually it will likely be a Pi 4B. Once I buy one or two more 4B's and the 3B+'s move down the chain.

I had plans to use the 7 inch screen setup to program my Arduino's and Micro Bits. The Arduino IDE is too big for the screen though with options I want off the bottom of the screen out of view. Makes it a bit of a PITA to use so I switched tactics. I really wish the Pi foundation would make a 10 or 12 inch screen version of the official touch screen. Most people on that forum want smaller, which I don't get?
Even the current screen with a higher resolution would work for me.
yeah ,that would be nice , I tried a few yrs back I bought a 100$ Grace vinyl recorder to mp3's did one album, got 2or 3 big mp3 files ,editing takes too long to do a track at a time ..might be a good time to try a few more ,,.. the player just sitting on the shelf, https://gracedigital.com/wp-content/...G-GDI-VW00.pdf
edit--- so i had to give the record player/mp3 recorder another go before i tossed it out ,and some good news ,it had a bad RCA cable ,popped in another cable and it worked ,actually sounds great to my tone deaf ears, listing to old john Mayall jazz fusion recored live in Boston and new york, polyord inc 1972, that about when i bought ,so i'll assume that date means something ..
. google fine's it on amazon ,wish i had the new one and not the hardly used one .https://www.amazon.ca/Jazz-Blues-Fus...=UTF8&qid=&sr=

A friend asked me to go get their dog and walk it for them while they are away. They insisted on paying me for my trouble so it looks like I'll be ordering an 8 gig Pi 4B when they are back in stock. I think I'll get one of those heatsink cases too. And another power supply.

MagPi 94? Never Mind just found the article.
EDIT: I'm thinking heat is going to be an issue? If you use a Pi 4b it will be for sure. It's not going to overheat, but performance will suffer if it down clocks to keep itself cool. Nice effort though, and a nice setup. Not sure that's the way I want to go. You'd have to hang a power pack off of it to make it portable.
At some point I think I'll be getting the official red white keyboard and mouse, which is why I went red instead of my usual uninspired selection of black. I'm going to get the white power supply too. Already have an official white HDMI cable. This one will be setup as a desktop PC.
I have a Fan Shim already mounted on a tall header that "should" be usable it I don't like how hot it gets. I won't know if its tall enough until I try plugging it in.
It's already been posted numerous times on the Pi foundation forum that the 4B will get "HOT" in the official case if you put the top on.
