think i'm a bit of a music hoarder ,i still have my LP and Cassettes and 8 trac tapes ,from the 70's in the picture there is a JVC cassett player on top, bought it 2 years ago at the used music store in sydney river ,the middle device is a Technics amp,and the bottome one is a 5 cdc changer picked them up at the Church flea market ..had a record player from the church ,but it just never worked all that good ,had the place in sydney river repair it but it still didn't work right so i took it back got my money back then sold it it him for $135.00 ,then just bout one of the cheap all-in one's ,Darlene uses that in her room ...

I don't own a stereo or much of anything music related really. One MP3 player and a couple of battery powered radios.

I chucked all my cassette tapes years back when my new car only had a CD player in it. I have a large collection of MP3's I play on my PC and MP3 player. I burned some to CD to play in the car, it will play mp3's from a CD. I did run KODI on a Pi for a while but gave up doing that when I setup my Pirate Radio. I like the randomness and not knowing what song comes next, most of the times anyway.

My cassettes were pretty much end of life anyway. It was 50 50 if they would play OK or not. The pads that hold the tape against the head were drying out and or falling off. Probably from being left in a hot car.

I converted all my vinyl, reel-to-reel, cassette and CD music to digital years ago. Far easier to store and transport and less susceptible to age deterioration. I've also done the same with my VHS and DVD movies.

Still no sign of my Pimoroni order. =( Just shy of 30 days since it shipped. Covid is slowing stuff like this (snail mail) down I guess. They usually leave the UK in good time, but then go into never never land when its handed over to Canada Post. They said they would resend it if I don't get it by the end of the week though.

I'll be happy if the second order shows up, it shipped on the 10th of May.
I ordered this on a whim. Arduino Starter Kit Multi-language | Arduino Official Store
I'll have something to tinker with and maybe actually learn some Arduino coding.
I already have this one, Arduino MKR IoT Bundle | Arduino Official Store
Played around with it a little bit, then kind of put it aside.
I downloaded the project book for the starter kit and likely could have done most of them with what I have on hand. Now I'll have the stand and all the cardboard bits. One or two of the projects will be fun to do with one of my grandkids. Now that we have that one family bubble thing My Step daughter comes over with her kids which makes Carolyn's day.
