I have 3 orders on the way. It may be a while until I dare order anything else. The last one was that new Pi camera and a lens.

I have an Uncle that lives in Pugwash. Just the one street light at night, nice view of the night sky from the backyard. He has a couple of telescopes.
I used to go up on weekends when I was still single and was living in Moncton. The street light burned out and we had a ball with one of those glow in the dark frisbees, lol. It was pretty well pitch black outside.

Yeah, we have those new LED street lights here now. Its a brighter whiter light. The one out front is on the other side of the street and shines in our bedroom window. I have no choice but to pull the blind down if I want to get any sleep.

Nice Jack. Mine is just portable enough I can take it out on my deck in the summer, in one go. I have easy access to a power bar there so I haven't bothered trying to make mine battery powered, not yet anyway. If I had the wide open spaces you have where your at I probably would have gone that route.
That is one on my Pi builds I enjoy a lot, and use a lot, especially this time of year.

Those double sided 3M sticky pads are great for attaching stuff you don't want to be permanent. I buy the packs of the ones for those stick on the wall hooks. Great for holing batteries etc to something. Then just pull the release tab if you change your mind. Nothing to clean up after it comes off.

I don't own a stereo or much of anything music related really. One MP3 player and a couple of battery powered radios.
