New plan, I just stopped and then disabled the service that starts stops the fan. It now just runs constantly when the Pi boots up. I figured why not just run it like the CPU fan in a PC. It should give me a more constant lower temperature. No swings up and down, up and down. We'll see. This appears to turn off the LED. Not a big deal as I have the Blinkt showing the CPU temps.

    EDIT:
Its at ~30c on boot up now. It was ~60c idling with just the heat sink.
Then goes up to 40 45 or so with use. I saw a 42c last night while playing around on it. I've seen it hit 80c a couple of times with just the heat sink.
Still debating whether to remove the heatsink to see if I runs cooler or hotter without it. I have extra thermal pad stuff to put it back on again.

"What were they thinking?" Is how I feel about the official Pi 4 case. It's a really nice looking case, I will give them that, cooling wise its not the best, IMHO. I'm still wondering why they didn't go with the double top cover like the other one. Cost I guess? Injection molding isn't cheap apparently.

Hard to tell if it sucks or blows, There still needs to another opening somewhere for good air flow.

I know one thing I will be getting this Christmas, SmartiPi Touch 2
And a new 7 inch touch display, Pi 4B, Pi 4 power supply etc. If Pimoroni sells it I'll buy it all there. They sell the old version so hopefully they get the new one in stock when its available. I'd rather not have to make two orders from two different retailers and pay shipping twice. The new one has a cooling fan which you'll need with a Pi 4.
