One issue with laptop drives, the spinners usually only run at 5400 RPM. Instead of the 7200 RPM that full sized desktop drives run at. You really notice the difference.

Nice video. Yeah, the Pi Foundation is taking a lot of "heat" over thier official case being not fit for purpose for the Pi 4.

I have one of the black Pi 3 ones. Even with numerous vent holes drilled into it that Pi 3B runs hot. Other than the PI Zero official case I haven't bought another one. You'd have to really push a Pi Zero to get it to generate any kind of heat. Near as I can tell anyway. Nice looking cases I will give them that. Not very functional cooling wise though. An A+ (not a 3A+) would likely be fine too in its official case.

I got 54c with no case and no heatsink on my Pi 4B. 22c ambiant air temp. I had 4 standoffs in the corners for feet. It was raised up in the air a little bit.
56c with the Pibow Coupe case on no heatsink. Just sitting idle with the desktop open.
    51c with the heatsink on.
Will try the fan shim when I get one.

I switched to the "Trees" background. Right click desktop properties. I also like the taskbar on the bottom.
