i retired last Aug,and if some company offer me a job ,it's to them ,,,
Even if that job paid more than you had ever earned in the past? I mean to say that the company had to make it worth my while to come back out of retirement!

Performance should be a lot better on a Pi 4, once they enable USB boot on it. Especially an SSD connected via USB 3. I have a 64 gig Kingston Hyper X USB 3 thumb drive I'm going to setup as boot on a Pi 4. May have to wait a couple of months for USB Boot to get finalized, from what I'm reading on the Pi forum though. They jumped the gun and released early, now they are playing catchup software wise.

EDIT: Or do it the old way and boot from the Micro SD card but run everything from the thumb drive.

I think you can do something similar with the Pirate Radio via Airplay? Might even be able to do what's in that link on a pirate radio. Just use the phat beat / SPI as your audio instead of analog audio.

One issue with laptop drives, the spinners usually only run at 5400 RPM. Instead of the 7200 RPM that full sized desktop drives run at. You really notice the difference.
