I ordered a 2GB model several weeks ago from Canakit and it still hasn't shipped. Supposedly, the holdup is the case I ordered with it.

I thought I was retired for good and could start putting more time into my Pi projects but some company came along and offered me a job that I start next week so I guess I'm not retired like I thought I was!

There is a thread on the Pi forum asking "when are US customers going to get thier Pi 4's". Lots of orders on back order and the shipping date just keeps slipping. Various retailers listed. And a few other similar threads.
When are people in the U.S. getting their Pi 4s? - Raspberry Pi Forums

I did the notify me at Pimoroni. And skipped waiting for an official power supply to be in stock. I grabbed my Pi 4 4 gig while the getting was good. It was several days before it shipped. Usually its that day or the next day. I imagine they were flooded with orders and couldn't initially keep up. I got lucky and got the bare essentials needed to make it usable when it arrived.

Thats pretty close to what I orederd. Remove that first black HDMI adapter and the white USC C adapter. I have plans to order one of the shorty black HDMI cables, and another official Micro USB cable.

Jack, I can't seem to find it at the moment, but there is a thread on the go on the Pi Fourums on an issue with the Pi 4 and Sense Hat. With the sense hat attached the Pi 4 won't boot up headless. If no monitor is attached it doesn't boot up? Take the Sense hat off and it boots up fine with no monitor. Wierd one to say the least. Just a heads up as i know you own a Sense Hat. Might save you some head scratching down the road.

I've noticed in Buster that the clock now shows seconds. Not something I wanted. So I changed mine using this as a reference.
    Python strftime reference
I went to the clock properties and changed the %R to %a %-H:%M %p.
That gets me a "Fri 8:00 AM" display. Lots of different ways to do it. %A will give you Friday instead of Fri. %H will give you 08 instead of 8, etc.
You could add the year month date if you wanted, like what Windows shows.

EDIT: Hmm, if you leave the clock properties at the default %R its 24 hour time with no seconds displayed. Change it to %r for 12 hour AM PM and you also get the seconds?

Yeah, I don't see my Sense Hats ever moving to a Pi 4B. A 3A+ or 4A+ (if they build one) maybe? Still not sure if its a Buster issue or a Pi 4 Buster issue. My Sense Hats are running Stretch, might even be Jessie on one of them. I haven't redone them in a while.

On my Pi Zero's I'm seeing a battery charge indicator next to the clock on the taskbar? Right clicking and removing the Pitop Battery indicator gets ride of it. Which begs the question, "why is it there in the first place?"
