I can wait till they are back in stock, I'm just happy enough to have been given the OK by my better half to buy one.
I may install Buster on one of my Pi's tomorrow. I have a 3B+ not doing anything special to do a look see on. Assuming its backward compatible with all earlier Pi's. The blog says it is, we'll see tomorrow I guess.

I've seen mention of new and improved i2c, SPI UART etc in this thread, Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion - Raspberry Pi Forums It sounds like a second i2c? I can't find any official documentation to back it up though?

The UI is supossed to be "flatter", what ever that means? I got that from the link you posted earlier.
I'll be ordering my 4B as soon as all the bits I want are in stock again. I'll be using a credit card anyway and just pay it back off on payday.

    On the new Pi 4

USB is provided via an external VLI controller, connected over a single PCI Express Gen 2 lane, and providing a total of 4Gbps of bandwidth, shared between the four ports.

Thats "almost" full speed, if you use just one USB 3 port. The USB 3 spec is I believe 5Gbps. Thats not to shabby and a lot better than the Pi 3B's 4 ports into the 1 USB 2 shared with Ethernet.

I'm really not in any big hurry to get one, I'll jump if my chance arrives though and everything I want is in stock. The US official power supply is also out of stock. On the plus side I like that they ditched the universal one with all the adapters. For me it was just more plastic to recycle. I only ever use the US adapter.

Just ordered a Pi 4B 4 gig, order received but hasn't shipped yet. I couldn't get a power supply which is a bit of a bummer. The US and universal were out of stock. The 4 gig Pi 4 probably would have sold out again if I wait for the power supply to be restocked so I just ordered the Micro USB to USB C adapter for now. Some HDMI cables, a Pibow case and heatsink too. I'll pick up an official power supply some time down the road.
