There is a fix for that.
Raspberry Pi Desktop - Raspberry Pi
I have it installed on my Spare Desktop PC. I haven't booted it up in a long while now though. I robbed its monitor for tinkering with some of my Pi builds.
I had a monitor die on me that was the one I used for Pi setups. This one is not the best either, I think the backlight is giving out. I've messed with the brightness and contrast and its about as good as its going to get. It was a hand me down so it didn't cost me anything and doesn't owe me anything.
I'm good for now, thanks for the offer though. The one I have is a Dell, 15 inch I think. I have 3 monitors on this PC. If the other one fails it will give me an excuse to buy a new bigger one for this PC and move one of its smaller monitors to my Pi stuff.
just added a internal 240 gig ssd drive to my new laptop for file storage ,easy,2 screw's ,it picked it ,after i put it all back together i remembered i should have loaded files onto first ..
I have 128 and 256 SSD's in mine. I bought them when they were still a bit on the pricey side, and still relatively new tech. When I bought it, my laptop only had a spinner in it. I moved that over for storage and added the 128 SSD for the OS. Then latter on swapped the spinner out for a second SSD.
