My 4B with 4 gigs of Ram cost me about $74 Canadian, not counting shipping etc. Another 3 bucks for a heatsink, 13 bucks for the fan shim, 10 bucks for the power supply, and 12 bucks for the case. Already had a spare SD card, monitor and keyboard etc.

I agree whole heartedly. Was just trying to put the cost of a heatsink / cooling solution in perspective. It is a 35 dollar computer, if you buy the 1 gig edition and live in the right country. Factor in all the other bits and its a bit more than that. Still well worth the investment IMHO. If it wasn't I wouldn't already have one.

I wasn't saying the cost of the Pi was expensive, I was saying that the heat sink was expensive in comparison.

Some of them can be very pricey indeed. I like the fan shim, not that fussy about the shim attachment method part. I soldered mine to a header.

I don't have that display. Its in my shopping cart for a possible purchase next month or so. It and a couple other Breakout garden bits I want to play with.
I can't buy anything until at least next pay day, there was more month left at the end of the money. =(
Not sure what I have to trade for it? That you'd want etc. I'll have a look around latter on when I'm awake lol. Right now I'm just killing time till the sun comes up and I go for my morning walk.
