Yeah, they were all check mark just like yours TC ....still no icons on desktop in safe mode.
Was researching this for last few days.....wonder if its because of my register hack for Shell Icons in registry, used same one in 1809 with no issues.

Undo it and see. Maybe.

This hack removes all the dam short-cut arrows from Desktop icons ....been using this hack for very long time.

In WWII it was used by the USAAF for heavy bombers. It's only been a civilian airport since 1966 and is the fourth busiest airport in the UK. It's mostly used by low cost holiday airlines.

Yup....but it worked great on 1809.....but, think your right TC ....I've got the blank icon somewhere too, I used to use that method but changed it last year.....Got to find it and try using it again.
