With the darker nights quickly creeping in I've been catching up on a lot of TV lately and just wondered what other people are watching, as well as recommending what I've been couching it to.

Just finished watching Season 4 of Whitechapel. Originally a series following a copycat Jack the Ripper serial killer, the series has grown superbly. Season 4 has been the most gruesome and grizzly of all with a supernatural element thrown in. Brilliant TV to catch up on if you've missed it.

I'm slowly working my way through Justified, currently half way through Season 2. It took me about five episodes to get hooked on this series as the first four didn't really define the show, but it really took shape from thereon in and really has a place in my heart now.
Timothy Olyphant makes it for me, I love him as an actor and he really makes the show tick, and Walton Goggins (The Shield, best TV show ever) is a touch of class.

I'm waiting with baited breath for Season 4 of The Walking Dead. Admittedly post-apocalyptic zombie infested survivor stories aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I've been reading Robert Kirkman's comic book series for years and the TV show is just as good. If you've got the stomach, give it a whirl.

Finally (for now) I'm nearly caught up on Hannibal. I've always been a big fan of Thomas Harris' work concerning Dr Lecter and Will Graham, and this show offers some insight into the events that took place between Hannibal Rising and Red Dragon, albeit slightly out of canon.
Again, it's another one not for the faint hearted, but if Anthony Hopkins got to you in any of the Hannibal trilogy then it's definitely worth a watch.

I have the Hannibal films on DVD and my daughter has just brought them back to me, she had borrowed them she loves her horrors and is a great Stephen King fan along with James Herbert and John Laymon, think that's his name.
I don't have any particular favourite but like watching any of the CSI programs, NCIS and Bones.

    Hi there
Love Covert affairs series 4 -- after a slowish start it really is getting good these days -- but "Mea Culpa" - This won't be on our TV for ages yet (if ever) so I have to thank those still flying "The Jolly Roger". Last download was S04 episode 12 - only a few hours after broadcast in USA.
I'd be happy to BUY the DVD (if it appears) or even PAY for a legit download stream -- but if there aren't any -- well the only alternative is !!!.

C'mon Hollywood --here you've got people WILLING to pay - but no stream other than You know where.

    Over to you.

Great series BTW - and auggie does a great job too.

Been renewed I see for Series 5 -- so a bit more torrenting for me I'll have to say.

I also like the joint English / French production "The Tunnel" - actually modelled on a Danish / Swedish production called The Bridge which was great too.

The Tunnel starts off with a body found lying in the service road in the Channel Tunnel lying half way across the French English demarcation line ("Border ??"). The interplay between the very "Po" faced French female investigator and the down to earth English cop is great too. -

This you can get from any of the UK TV catch up services - accessible via proxies anywhere or also via "The Jolly Roger". Well worth a watch. - There's a few more episodes to go.

Finally -- Footie fans everywhere -- Champions League games are on again -- head off to nearest pub and enjoy the atmosphere -- I'm currently in Yorkshire UK so some of the comments about Man Utd and Man City would only go in X-rated mags !! - great folk though these Yorkshire guys - they say it as it IS and forget political correctness etc.

If I settled permanently in the UK I'd try and become an "Honorary Yorkshire" man -- this county has got to be the UK's equivalent to TEXAS . !!

    Cheers

Just finished the first season of Lilyhammer. May have to checkout season 2 when it comes out.
Wasn't sure Steven VanZant could carry a series and still not sure. But the supporting cast and writing were good.
