Another site is logging me on as some random user... its very weird.

Very OT issue but I wondered if anyone else could recreate this.

There is a watch forum called 'watchuseek' and having clean installed W10 Skippy build 18865 and navigated to the site I am automatically logged on as someone called 'shaneyboy'. I haven't even got as far as entering my details, when I do it has me logged in under this other users profile. Lol

I reported it a few hours ago to the site concerned but they haven't acknowledged as yet.

Anyone game enough to see what happens if you visit? I'd love to know if this happens to anyone else.

VirusTotal URL scan comes back clean for what it's worth.

Have you cleared cache and cookies then tried again to see if it replicates this behaviour?

As clear as can be. Unallocated SSD with W10 skippy clean installed. PC has absolutely zero knowledge of the sites existence. Even now, if I search for the site using Edge 'In Private' and Bing and click on the link I am instantly logged as this shaneyboy.

That's odd to say the least.

I hope you hear back from them soon to resolve this.

Its certainly weird. If I do log in with my forum ID and password (my password is unique to that site alone) I get this:

Edit... Using IE on the same Skippy build doesn't do this.

No answer/reply/response from Watchuseek and so I thought I'd try changing my password... which for me seems to have fixed the issue. I now get a blank login screen using In Private browsing and this takes me correctly to my profile on there.

Absolutely no idea how this could occur in the first place though. Thank goodness I use different passwords for all sites I visit. You just don't know......

I got more curious over this and did a quick install of 20H1 (just reinstated a backup image of the clean ISO installation), opened Edge, navigated to the site and guess what... its the same again. It opens to user shaney boy.

I've passed all my findings on to the site concerned.
