    Afternoon Keith

    Morning Borg. Happy travels.

    Morning Mike

Keith I hope they don't have to take engine out. It is massive and it is squeezed in there.

I had a major gasket replacement after the car was eight years old and if things play out right this is the replacement of those. Took days and the parts alone made me cry. Fingers cross it is something simple. That ain't going to happen.

Saw an interesting article a couple days back. I was pretty surprised that Illinois has such strict regulations on Biometric information gathering. It's illegal in that state to use facial recognition & other Biometric data gathering in that state.

As a result, you can't own an Aibo & any security cams that are sold have to have facial recognition disabled.

What Sony's robot dog teaches us about biometric data privacy - CNET

The Biometric Information Privacy Act was established in 2008 to regulate "the collection, use, safeguarding, handling, storage, retention, and destruction of biometric identifiers and information." BIPA defines "biometric identifiers" as retina scans, iris scans, fingerprints, hand scans, face scans and voiceprints.

Basically, an individual or a company needs "informed written consent" to use another individual's biometric info.
A quick visit to the Nest Cam IQ Indoor page says "Familiar face alerts require a Nest Aware subscription. Not available on Nest Cams used in Illinois."
That feature won't work in Illinois, even if you pay for Nest Aware. Google disables Nest's facial recognition capabilities in the state

    Morning TC, good luck.

Morning Josey. Wow, sounds intense. Glad everything is going positively and that they caught it. Some people just wait too long thinking these things will go away.

Got my annual diabetic retinopathy test in a couple of weeks. So far they've been clear. Here's hoping.

    Good morning / afternoon all.

In the 20's again, but supposed to hit the 60's later on, so the weathers on the upswing until Friday, when it rains all day.

My Wife has an appt in a little bit, another busy week, but then, when isn't it.

Morning Josey, I hope they have you fixed up & everything gets better for you soon.
Morning Ken , Dr Borg and Keith. Thanks, the doc said he fixed it but will find out for sure on the follow up. If this ever happens call your Eye Doctor immediately.

Hopefully it's going to be an easy gasket to replace. Got my fingers crossed for you
