My experience is that if you go to Walmart, they won't have large quantities; thus, they'll have to be ordered.

Not knowing the size of the deck, nor the size of the railing, I'd say you're going to need at least two screws per foot.

That's a lot of meds. I've been on Sitagliptin(Januvia) & Metformin for the last four years. They seem to have it under control.

I started out on those, now ten years later, four injections and thirteen pills a day...

Thanks for the ideas. My goal will to have railing last ten years. By then the structure will need replacing.

Morning Ken, mine has lasted 25 years... Posts are usually 2x2 and only have a screw top and bottom... pre drill the holes so you don't split them...

I'm looking at a metal railing.

Will cost a little more but no more maintenance. Have to check out how posts are tied into deck.
