Using a slot like the PCIe that has speed increases that come in "lanes" which most SSD's do not have which we as normal users would purchase, will not see a difference.

BUT, the file speeds which do not translate into every day stuff, might help in gaming.
Yes but would my MSI MOBO support it?

You would have to check the MOBO for PCIe slots, get the 1.0, 2.0. 3.0 etc. speeds on it and then google about speeds with SATA III SSD on there vs with SATA II port. To me it would cost more than what it is worth, but each of us have a different system for different needs.

I agree, I would be better off getting a new PC but I like this one as it will be the last one I will build. I could afford one of these but my principles get in the way.

I am in the same boat... before this job I have now, I wanted to upgrade really badly. Now with what I do after work and on the weekends, I do not see a need to upgrade anything, unless it is failing.

Morning @labeeman & the 3 kitterz, read something interesting this morn.

Apparently consuming local made honey can help with allergies, since you're consuming some of the pollen & that helps you body get used to them & lowers your sensitivity to allergens.
I would have thought you already knew that, Borg. I've heard about it for years, but I don't have allergies, thank goodness! So, I can eat honey from anywhere.

That said, one of my students had a couple of hives, but split them to make five now. He doesn't have enough to sell yet; probably only one producing hive at the moment.

I don't remember ever having one.
We got 'em at school. I remember having about three at once and the one that leaves a half inch round scar on your arm. They stuck the needle in about a gazillion times. Oh, I think it was smallpox. Telling my age now, but they didn't have the all-in-one DPT shot back then.
