Isn't the nitrate ingredient the one that goes boom ?

beeman... question. I want to buy these bolts. They say they are UNC Grade 5 (Home Depot). Would you know if that means rust resistant. I looked up, they say plated but articles I read were fuzzy. Thanks

I think UNC grade 5 is referring to how hard the bolt is not rust resistant It may have a cadmium plating but it will be thin and not last long. UNC=Unified National Coarse thread, Grade 5 how much tensile

No. I think it's used to relieve the symptoms of angina.

I thought it was ammonium nitrate that went boom and was used in fertiliser.

Yep it is but I think Ken was referring to nitroglycerin which is used for Angina and explosives.

You would not believe why I've been off since 10 this morning. Looked outside and saw a public works water dept truck. 2 gorillas got out with shovels and started digging around the water manhole out front. 1.5 seconds later, POOF!!!! everything in the house died. No 'net, no land line, no TV, no nuthin'!!!! Idiots drove a shovel blade right thru my Fios fiber optic line. I asked why they didn't follow procedure and have Miss Utility out first to mark. After I finished screaming at them, idiot #1 said they didn't have to, they have a right of way. I told him a right of way does not give you the right to destroy. The law is the law. You screwed up! Got his county supervisor on the phone. I read him the riot act. 2 hours later, a Verizon tech drove up in the driveway. I now have a temp line strung 250' from the junction box to my box. It'll be about 2 weeks before the sub who does trenching can get here to ditch-witch the line and re-snake it under the road to the box. Then tech comes back to swap lines, again.

    Why are people such morons....................
