Because most monitors have HDMI. And you won't miss G-sync. It's only important to gamers with refresh rates over 75 Hz (144Hz).

My monitor's maximum refresh rate is 165Hz Andre

Just checked the price they are getting now for my 2080Ti FTW3 card on Evga's web site.....it went up, its now 1500.00 US dollars.
