No Mike, IMHO in 1956 it still was a sports car and competed with The Corvette, In 57 Ford turned a two seater sports car into a family car, they should have left it a sports car.

Do you know how hard it is to find a car with only 2 doors. Most of the car manufacturers have stopped making coupes.

Add to the fact that GM & Ford are going to stop making cars altogether in a couple years. Strange times.
