The wonders of Windows.

My Win7 device can't hibernate. There have been power issues in Windows stretching back years.

Amazing that all these boxes are built for Windows and yet there are so many issues.

AD what program is giving you those stats, please?

CrystalDiskInfo Crystal Dew World is the program. I just checked my backup drive stats and it shows that it has only been powered on 35 times in 397 days lol. That is correct I am sure. I did a lot of shut downs and removing stuff after I got it.

Mine went to sleep well in 7 and also in 10 up to build 16299. So MS had to have changed something at that point. I filed so many reports and The Hub and they even asked for my email. Never heard from them.

Believe you... I had that Lenovo at Christmas that when you said sleep it shutdown. It was driver issue but as all reported okay it was hunt and peck. I got lucky.

I am using Standard Edition from the link top left on the page I linked above.

Fast startup in windows has a problem to and Mint 19.1 does not have fast startup. Waking Mint is fast like it never went to sleep open the lid and .5 or so seconds I have my screen.

The same with me beeman, it is almost instantaneous.

Yep it is as good as leavening the computer on all the time but not eating up 60 watts of power when not in use never could get that in windows.

Crystal must count things differently on different systems

This is a one year old M.2



The other drives are in the high thousands. Think I allow drives to be powered down.
