    Afternoon Keith

Well I haven't heard from hospital today so I guess they have all their MRI coils working. Getting all my chores done early today, two loads of laundry already done.
Something interesting I heard about the MRI machines, it actually takes a couple hours to power them down. You can't just turn them off/on like a light bulb.

Also they had to X Ray my eyes 1st time I got one since I worked around grinders. Turns out if there are any tiny metal fragments in your eyes, they can be ripped out & do some damage.

Yes any magnetic metal will be pulled from you and I imagine very painfully. I have some stainless steel wire that some how is not magnetic. Bloody good thing too.

I've had so many MRI's I have no fear of that. Since the tax payers pay for them the doctors make very good use of MRI's.

Yep, been through a few of those & countless CT scans. Not to mention all the radiation I got for the cancer.

Read a while back someone died from an MRI accident. They carried an oxygen tank into the no metal zone, he was between the tank & the MRI. Pulled the tank with such force it damaged him pretty badly & since they couldn't deactivate it immediately, he was pinned & died due to injuries.

It is interesting science how they work, had a tech explain it to me once, it makes the positive part of your cell molecules rotate & the machine catches that movement & makes an image out of said motion. We're living in the future.....

Yes they give you these forms to complete and it specifically asks about metal and working with metal. They then give you the same form when you get there and you complete it again.

This is one of those times you don't want to lie on a form.

Yes the future. Pretty amazing that someone thought this up and carried it through to production. Bet is wasn't cheap.

Good morning, Mike & Sammy and good morning everyone else.

It's 28F this morning with a high of 42 expected. No rain today, but we'll have rain for the beginning of our trip to Texas tomorrow. Gonna be dry in Livingston, though, so maybe not so bad on the road.
Good morning Wynona, Gracie and Lucy

Slept through my first two MRIs, third one I had my hands behind my head with my elbows up and that popped both shoulders and they couldn't get me out either going in or out. Screamed for around 45 minutes until they got The Emergency Room Doctor to put me out. Don't know How they did it, but know I need surgery on both shoulders. Only way they got me in the last 10+ was under anesthesia. Big Time claustrophobic now

EDIT: Forgot to say the Techs told me the only person they heard scream more was a guy covered in Prison tattoos
