That may be just the issue, Josey. It ended up as a non-event. Could not throw a challenge flag, could not protest a call, could not do anything, because in essence the Official ignored it.

Absolutely totally agree. Not to take anything away from the Pats, but the whole issue will end up as an "asterisk" on post season this year.

It's in the books now, don't know what can be done. Go to L.A. and take the trophy away? Fire the LJ? Issue a public memo of apology for the stupidest blatant error in NFL history? Or, as you say.....nothing.

The NFL can do something to The Refs that blew the call. They cannot possibly do anything to change the outcome of the game.
