When I walk out my door I can see the box up the street where the fiber terminates. DSL is not an option, only gets 5Mbps.

Bell (telephone company) was working on fiber to the neighbourhood but took all their trucks and headed to the city three years ago. They are doing fiber to your residence, every house, apartment and condo, in the city and Toronto is a big city.

Toronto should be a very healthy city, being on such a high-fiber regimen.

Yeah, supposedly they're talking faster access for the area, but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. They have a high speed network, but that's only for the college & businesses.

Surprisingly, I found out there's a wait list to get on the DSL network. Apparently they have far less problems then the cable company (knock on wood now that I said that), which has frequent outages & problems. Someone told me that if you have DSL, stay the hell on it because getting back to it will take a long time.

Well folks, time for me to head out, get her script & stock up on massive amounts of toilet paper & milk (don't know why, just something people do when a snowstorm is coming).

Our cable use to be horrible.... lots of calls, prompting the neighbours to call and general S%$t raising on social media fixed the street problems.

Don't want to mess with retired people, they have enough time on their hands to make your life miserable.
