Yes... at least I think I did. Before I updated I hit the clear CMOS button on back to get defaults.


Now come to think of it, I didn't set boot order. I wonder ??????


Many questions. I know the ME was also updated and I use the Intel tool for drivers. It says all up to date but I can clearly see ME driver is not as current as Asus site.

I used the setting in my bios to set everything back to factory defaults, can't remember how its worded, unless I go into bios...which I'm not going to right now. Only reason I asked was because your bios update took a long time to finish, mine didn't take long at all. But...we do have different chips. I really don't worry about the ME version or which driver is installed. I know lots of people do thou.

Well.....back to do a little benching...lol

Ended up doing a bunch of paperwork yesterday, relaxed a bit towards the afternoon but still went to bed around 9 or so, my Wife got up for the fireworks they had downtown, we sat on the porch watching those & eating a PBJ....Happy New year......

Mike I got to the bottom of the boot gaff. The right drive was set in boot order but when I reset CMOS CSM became enabled.

Disabled and boot back to normal. New big warning sign when you shut off CSM which wasn't there in 1003 BIOS.
