    The Arduino thread.

Some here will know me for my Raspberry Pi thread(s)

Well I'm branching out, I just got my first Arduino for Christmas. Two actually, an UNO and a MKR1000 IoT bundle. That bundle has most of the bits that are in the Arduino Starter kit. That kit is based aroung the UNO. A quick web search got me the projects book for the starter kit so I basically have both kits. Bonus.

Was playing around with my UNO today. Wired up a GPS breakout board I bought a long time ago in a kit for my first raspberry Pi. I got that up and running. Used an example sketch from an online tutorial to push the data over a serial link. Next step is to display the GPS data on a 16x2 LCD display. I have the display wired up, havent displayed anything on it yet. Back got sore so it will have to wait for another day.

Just wondering if there are any other Arduino users out there?

Well I got the Hello World message up on the 16x2 LCD, lol. And I can read GPS data over serial link. Just have to figure out how to merge the two sketches into one and modify the display bit. Total noob with Arduino.
That never stopped me with my Raspberry Pi.

Also got my Zumo chassis all put together with the Zumo Arduino shield. I don't have a spare Arduino to plug into it though so that will have to wait. My only Uno is tied up with the above setup.
