I did an in place upgrade repair yesterday twice. Once on the new 1TB SSD and one on the Old1TB SSD which had the same OS. Both are running better than ever but I think that what Mike said about not updating the firmware was right. The New one which was not updated went about 30% faster than the on that was Firmware Updated. So in the future I will not update it.
Yes Samsung has had problems in the past with their updated firmware....some folks got there SSD bricked !!! had to send them back to Samsung. It was reported on one of our threads months ago Josey, I have never updated either of my SSD drives.

This has me wondering if updating the firmware is the reason I cannot get the same or higher benchmark on my 860. It is always lower than the original bench, which was prior to the update.

It could be. But there is no way to undo a FWU.

    Good morning / afternoon folks.

Just a fly by, I have a flight out on Mon to WA state on a late flight so I need to get everything done & ready today.

@f14tomcat, my condolences on the passing of your kitty.

Got a rental car Mon morn, & they have a new added charge, going to be an extra $95 for me to take it one way & drop it at the airport, that's in addition to the rental fee.

Thanks for the thoughts & prayers everyone.
