My issue is the fact that a new email comes, either I click the notification or wait and click the envelope in the tray, ok..... It takes me to the Inbox where nothing is showing. The folder list shows Inbox (1) with nothing in it. I have to click another selection in the folder list and click back on the Inbox, then the message shows.

Ok, I get it now. Maybe try this if you havn't already. I don't get the symptoms you do. Note the words for why.

I have actually done that a few times. Many thanks for trying to help If you come across anything else, please let me know. I have googled until I am tired of wasting time on it. I posted on the support forums over 2 weeks ago, not one response. I will just have to click off and back on the inbox until something comes along to fix 'er up for me.

Only other thing off the top of my head is make sure all the left pane folders are marked as favorites, and you are displaying "Favorites" only.

I do have it set as and only showing "Favorites" only.

I have even checked the "download for offline use" or whatever it is called.... trying to fix the issue. I am beginning to think it is related only to the gmail/Tbird combo.

Well since you are using Tbird with gmail and don't have the issue.... I am at a loss now with it.

This happened before my clean install of 1809 and after it, also with 1803 and I have no idea why it is happening.

Do a clean install of T-Bird.

You have 32 or 64 bit? I'm using 64 bit. Not that it should make any difference.

I did that on my clean install.. but I did copy my profile over to save me from having to make all the changes I had done. I did A LOT of customization, view colors(dark) and tons more. It would be such a PITA to redo, but if it fixed it, might be worth it.
