Hello!

This is not related to Windows 10, but I ask here just in case someone can help me. I have several video files (mostly AVI and MP4) in my main PC's hard disk which is located at my parents' house and I want to watch them remotely from another computer located at another area of the town. So naturally, I am looking for some streaming method. I read some sites about using VLC to stream the file, I did manage to make it work locally (at the same network) but not through the internet. Does anyone knows what settings I have to select in VLC or other application to stream a video file and watch it remotely? I most likely have to use port forwarding at my router, but I do not do it right (what is the difference between internal and external port?) and cannot connect. I have remote access to the main PC using TeamViewer or AnyDesk, and of course access to the router, so I can do any action required. I have also asked in VLC forum, but I haven't yet received a reply, so I decided to ask here as well. If that matters, both PCs run Windows 10 and have VLC installed.

Thank you in advance
